Bauxite

Bauxite is a sedimentary rock which is quite high in aluminium content, rendering it the world’s main source of aluminium. It takes its name from Les Baux, a village located in the French region of Provence, where it was first discovered in 1821.

Bauxite is mainly produced in Australia, China, Guinea, Brazil and India.
