We are an exporter of coal from Indonesia, working in partnership with a number of local mines. Our close association with our well established and funded mining partners allows us to secure guaranteed access to allocations of stock and to ensure competitive prices.
We normally undertake our trades through our Singapore company. This gives our buyers peace of mind, knowing that they are dealing with a company based in a highly regulated and safe jurisdiction with which to do business. At the same time, our highly experienced team based in Indonesia is in full control of the logistics, thus ensuring that the project runs smoothly.
We monitor the entire shipment process, from the time the coal is collected from the mine until it is loaded on the mother vessel. Quality checks are carried out on a regular basis using the services of international surveyors, such as SGS, so as to ensure consistency of quality and the early detection of any irregularities, allowing us to take prompt action to avoid potential problems.
While Indonesia is the 5th largest producer of coal in the world, ranking behind China, the USA, India and Australia, it is actually the second largest exporter after Australia. Indonesian exports of coal in 2018 reached 394 million MT (an increase of 8% on 2017) at a value of US$20.6 billion. This represented a 17% share of global coal exports.
Indonesia’s vast coal deposits are mainly located in the regions of South Sumatra, South Kalimantan and East Kalimantan. This strategic location, within close proximity of India, China and Southeast Asia, places Indonesia at a natural advantage in serving the coal needs of these major importing markets. Coupled with the cost-efficiency of open-pit mining, it is understandable why Indonesia is the supplier of choice for these markets.

Our coal is fully compliant with the Chinese standards on regulated chemical elements as per Chinese Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ) and the “Interim measures for the administration of commercial coal quality”.
